Right now, your knitting is being distributed through Cambodia

Guess what?  This week, Save the Children in Cambodia commenced distribution of blankets from our Born to Knit campaign!  They will distribute blankets to mothers with newborn babies via 65 health centres across the country.

We are so thrilled to share these pictures with you.

Your knitting skills and contribution is very much appreciated so from Save the Children, health centre staff, mothers and children – thank you.

The picture we've all been waiting to see. A newborn sleeps with a blanket knitted with love from Australia.

Almost 20,000 blankets are being distributed to newborn children across India, Cambodia and Laos.  I know that these images make you want to knit more and more, but please note that the campaign is on hold as we determine which countries require more blankets.

We would like to ask knitters to take a well earned break for now, but please keep in touch with updates via this blog.

Again, thank you.

Great to see photos of where our knitted blankets have gone! May God bless all those mothers and babies.
Any more campaigns for more knitted blankets in the future?

    • Hi Diana, thank you for your message and support of Save the Children.

We are currently speaking with our country offices around the world to see which health programs need blankets, and how many. This will help us determine the need for the campaign in 2012, and set our target also.
Please stay in touch via this blog or the Save the Children website.
      Regards, Bree.
