As we wrap up Born to Knit in 2012, we have seen many beautifully crafted blankets and squares sent into us by schools, workplaces and community groups all around Australia! We have been overwhelmed by your support and generous donations.
One of the schools who got involved in Born to Knit 2012 for the first time was the Dundula State School in Queensland. Established as a Term 3 project, the principal, students, parents and grandparents supported our campaign to knit for a cause.
The school also used the Born to Knit Campaign to educate young students about the effects of poverty.
The Born to Knit campaign is not only about providing warm blankets for children in need, but getting together to raise awareness about poor health conditions in Australia and overseas.
Thank you Dundula State School for knitting two big boxes of squares for the Born to Knit campaign, and to the many schools, community groups and organisations who have also supported Born to Knit in 2012.
