Born to Knit 2012 blankets – on their way to Vietnam!

After months of knitting and sewing by thousands of Australians, we’re happy to announce that approximately 2,600 blankets are on their way to Save the Children in Vietnam, who will ensure that each blanket makes its way into the arms of a caring mother for her newborn baby or young child.

The Born to Knit team would once again like to thank all supporters for their lovely letters, generous support and warm knitted squares and blankets. Your blankets will keep children warm and help to prevent common colds and flu which can lead to pneumonia, one of the biggest killers of children under the age of five in the developing world.

Here are a few photos of staff and volunteers from Origin helping load the shipping container last week on a hot Melbourne day.
